Hannah and Matthew

I knew when I scheduled this session that I would have to get creative, because not too many siblings want to be photographed together in loving embraces! Matthew and Hannah were no different. We had a lot of fun today. Matthew was full of energy; he kept us on our toes…Hannah was so demure and graceful, she couldn’t have taken a bad picture had she tried! Here are a few from today’s session.

Katlyn’s Senior Portraits

I had so much fun shooting Katlyn’s pictures today! Not only was she easy to work with, but she also has the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen! We got so many great shots…it was hard to narrow them down.

Katie and Kevin’s Wedding

Katie and Kevin were married at Lake Norman Baptist Church in Huntersville on Saturday.
This was unlike any wedding I’ve ever photographed. The bridal party consisted of several firefighters from the Cornelius Lemley Fire Department- what a fun, down-to-earth group! I love the way they incorporated the fire engine into the wedding– what better way for the bridal party to arrive to the reception than by firetruck?! We were able to get so many fun shots…here are a few favorites:

Just call me Klutz!

We went to Brevard,NC this weekend to attend a friend’s wedding at Pretty Place-  an outdoor wedding site that overlooks the mountains. Three hours before the wedding, I slipped on a huge, moss-covered rock near the bride’s cabin. All of my weight landed on my left elbow. I broke my olecranon (elbow bone). I was disappointed that we missed the wedding, but at least we made it to the reception!

I had surgery on October 3rd. Dr. Ward, a hand and arm specialist at Carolinas Medical Center, performed the surgery. His congenial manner instantly put me at ease. He used a few screws and tension bands to put everything back in place. I’ve had to reschedule several photo shoots this month, but I’m determined to get back to work after my follow-up appointment on the 16th. I would die of boredom if I took too much time off!
