Mandy and Adam were married last Saturday on the rooftop of the Mint Museum in Charlotte. It was a hot evening for a wedding but somehow they pulled it off without breaking a sweat! My sister and I were able to get so many fabulous pictures around the fountains and uptown architecture. We even stopped by Ri Ra’s just before the ceremony. Here are a few favorites, including a couple of fun shots -yes that is a Twister mat!

If you are anything like me, it’s hard to come up with original gift ideas! I think my friends and family are probably tired of getting pajamas and pedicures from me by now! I may be biased, but I think a portrait session would make a really cool gift that everyone could use. I always try to come up with unique gifts for occasions like baby showers and bachelorette parties, but I always end up going with my usual- clothes, lotions, and of course- pjs and pedicures.
A newborn session would be wonderful for an expecting mom and a boudoir session (tastefully done) would be a fun gift for a daring bachelorette. Gift certificates will be offered at a discounted rate, ranging from $50-$250; a cute matching envelope is included. Get in touch for more information and feel free to leave comments below with your own unique gift ideas because I could also use some help in that department. Thanks! =)
Holly beat me to the studio yesterday. When I arrived to find the parking area full of cars, I was a little nervous….I got to meet the whole family! Now I know where Holly gets her charming personality! Here are a few of my favorites from the formal bridal session:

My best friend is expecting a baby girl next month! Ashley and I have known each other since 7th grade. We used to have sleepovers where we would stay up all night eating junkfood and watching New Kids on the Block videos. Oh my gosh how we loved NKOTB! We only went to school together for a year, but we wrote letters to each other and managed to stay in touch over the years. We used to pass notes signed LYLAS- and she is like a sister to me. She and Jason live near Greenville, SC where she is finishing up her Master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. Graduation is scheduled within days of her due date. Hopefully, the timing will work out! I love the way the nursery is decorated. We made a big mess with fingerpaints in the nursery but we had fun doing it and that’s all that matters! I can’t wait to take Zoe’s newborn pictures. Here are a few favorites:

One of the first things you notice when you meet Holly is her funky style! She has a shoe collection to die for but she will be sporting bare feet under her wedding dress- how cool is that!? She will be a bridesmaid in Torrie’s wedding so get ready to see a lot more of her! Josh is no stranger to style either, as you can see from the pictures below.

Originally, we had planned to hit up a few spots for Lisa’s formal bridal but once we got to our first destination we realized that we didn’t need to go anywhere else! Lisa’s friend Joelle brought a beautiful horse out for the shoot; we got so many unique shots and had so much fun! There was nothing Lisa wasn’t willing to do! She waded in a creek, sat atop a horse, and brought along cowgirl boots for the shoot. I love the shot of Lisa and her mom below. I can’t believe the wedding is only 3 weeks from now!
