Ariel needed headshots for marketing material. She wanted something a little different from the typical realtor headshots. We had a lot of fun shooting these on-location at Lake Norman. We got a good laugh out of doing a few traditional realtor poses- arms crossed over chest, hands on hips, etc! Her husband Dave brought their boxers out for a few pictures. If you are in the market for a house or property in the Lake Norman area, definitely look up Ariel at Remax at the Lake. You won’t find a more personable realtor. I enjoyed her company so much- she made me want to buy a house. =)

Seth warmed up to the camera more quickly than any little one I have ever worked with! He is so adorable with his dimples and big blue eyes- I think he resembles the Gerber baby! =) Towards the end of the session, he was over it so we let him chill out for a few minutes on the couch. I love his expression in the last one!

When our next door neighbors and good friends, Clay and Jen, showed us the ultrasound images of Emma several months ago- we were amazed to see that she looked just like daddy so early on! Emma weighed in at just over 3 lbs when she was born in March. Now at barely 6 lbs, she is strong as can be! I warned Clay and Jen beforehand to expect to get peed on during the session…as soon as Clay took Emma from Jen, she peed allover his pants…LOL! We were able to get some adorable pictures, so it was definitely worth it! I love the little bloomers with her name on them - she is so tiny; they just swallowed her up! Here are a few favorites:

Chad and I are leaving for Grand Cayman in the morning! I’m excited to see the Butterfly Farm and to swim with the stingrays. =) I won’t have access to my phone or email so please be patient - I will respond to email and calls as soon as we get back on the 14th. Thanks!
Lisa and Travis were married at a beautiful venue in Fort Mill, SC last Saturday. They had the largest wedding party I have ever photographed! There were 27 total in the formal portraits. Luckily, I was able to whisk the two of them away for a few minutes to capture images of the two of them alone. The mini-session with the couple alone after the wedding ceremony has to be my favorite part of the wedding day. Here are a few of my favorite images. I had to include a picture of their wedding favors. What a unique idea!

Charlotte participants will meet uptown at Marshall Park on Saturday, May 19th. Register by 9:30am. I participate in the walk every year in memory of my aunt. She inspired me to get a college degree and to become the independent handful that I am!
A little about ALS:
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with Lou Gherig’s disease, or ALS, and every 90 minutes another person will lose his or her life from the disease. The disease attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The mind remains acute, but the ability to communicate becomes more difficult as the disease progresses. When motor neurons die, the brain loses the ability to transmit information to voluntary muscles; this can result in partial or full paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for this disease.
Donations are not required but all donations support the ALS association (ALSA). ALSA supports scientific research and provides services for patients and their families.

When Myra contacted me about photographing a wedding on a boat- I imagined a small motorboat! The day called for rain so I was a little worried about my equipment. Photographing a wedding on Lake Norman would be a first for me. I arrived at Queen’s Landing to find that the wedding was taking place on “The Lady of the Lake” - a beautiful 90-ft yacht. It did rain after the ceremony, but that didn’t keep anyone from having a good time! Three of Tom’s grandsons were in the wedding- they were the cutest little guys I have ever seen! They made a game of dodging my camera all evening. When they got their hands on disposable cameras, they ambushed me and got revenge- LOL! I love the vibrant purples in their wedding.
