I am SO not a morning person, but getting up before sunrise was definitely worth it this time!! I thought I was up early at 6:30am, but then I found out that Melissa and Roland started driving to the beach from Cary at 3:30am - ouch! It was absolutely freezing when we started, but that didn’t keep them out of the water! They were determined to do it right - gotta love their attitude! They were soaked by the time we finished, but it was so much fun.

Lisa and Steve had a beautiful wedding at the Southpark Marriot in September. I felt so honored to be a part of it! Not only have they been awesome to work with all year, but their families are also an amazing group of people. You can see from the pictures below how much fun was had by all! Steve’s mom and grandma danced the night away and Steve’s funny faces cracked me up! =)

Lindy is such a natural in front of the camera! We had a BLAST trashing her dress! For those of you who are not familiar with it, the trash-the-dress trend is widespread. Couples all over the country are heading to the beach or lake for a photo shoot where they can relax and have fun, without worrying about keeping the dress clean. Thanks to Lindy for participating in my first session! Since working with Lindy, I have done 3 more of these sessions. I can’t wait to share them!

Misty and Travis couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for an outdoor wedding! It was sunny but cool. Their ceremony was definitely one-of-a-kind! Misty’s talented dad played the electric guitar as they walked down the aisle together. When Misty reached Travis, she released balloons in memory of her grandmother. It was a very emotionally charged ceremony. Thanks to my mom for second-shooting with me!

During Camden’s bridal session, a little girl who passed by couldn’t believe that she was seeing a real princess right before her eyes!! Camden and Jeremy tied the knot a several weeks ago. I’ll be posting wedding images soon.

I met Kristen, her mom, and Perry at the beginning of the year. We had a lot of laughs during the consultation; I was thrilled when they decided to book me for their October wedding. Several months after meeting, we discovered that Kristen’s mom works at my attorney’s office- what a small world! Here are a few images from their engagement session. As you can see, these two couldn’t take a bad picture if they tried!

Tara and Andrew had a fairytale wedding complete with Disney music, fairies, and a castle cake topper. Tara had a few bumps in the road during the wedding planning, but she stayed cool and in the end everything came together even more beautifully than she could have imagined! My favorite part of the day had to be the father-daughter dance. Tara and her dad started dancing to a slow song, but quickly moved on to rock out to Guns-n-Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” Congrats Tara and Andrew…thanks for making me feel like a member of the family- you guys rock!
