Leigh Ann and Jesse had the most beautiful wedding at Providence Country Club over the weekend. The ceremony was conducted by Charlotte Minister Rebecca Nagy. I have to recommend her to all Charlotte brides. She customized the ceremony to fit Jesse and Leigh Ann…it was definitely one-of-a-kind!! Here are a few of Leigh Ann’s bridal portraits for now. I had an amazing time photographing them. Leigh Ann is such a classic beauty, working with her was CAKE! =)

Gorgeous eyes!!

LOVE the sunlight in her hair and veil….security gave us a hard time at this location, but it was worth it!

We stumbled upon fountains dyed pink for Breast Cancer Awareness…love it!

Bridal pictures at Vanlandingham Estate
One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is being one of the first to see the bride in her dress- Ashley looked AMAZING in hers! It really was the perfect dress! I’m happy to finally be able to release a few of her bridal portraits. Ashley and Patrick tied the knot over the weekend….everything was Carolina Blue- so much fun!

Miranda - Charlotte bridal photography
Miranda and Josh were married over the weekend. She wanted to schedule her bridal portraits at the NC research campus. We met there after hours, but within minutes we were kicked off campus by security. I find it interesting that the campus is partially funded by Cabarrus county taxpayers….but taxpayers are not allowed to take photographs of the property. The total cost of existing campus buildings is $300 million dollars. Hmmm…. We got some great shots regardless…here are a few favorites:

I use TRA2 actions Troy and Lith-e-yum often, but here is a mix of Troy, Pool Party, and Lux for something a little different:

Miranda has the most amazing eyes!!

Michelle bridal portraits
Michelle and Justin were married over the weekend. Here are a few images from her March bridal session. We were hoping that more flowers would be in bloom but the session was scheduled the week after it snowed…It really doesn’t matter if flowers are in bloom if you are working with a beautiful bride! =)

Vatsla’s bridal Charlotte, NC
Vatsla and Curtis were married over the weekend so I can finally post her bridal session online. It is so hard to keep these to myself for so long! I’ll post images from Vatsla’s henna party within a few days. I was so excited when she invited me to join in the celebration!

Nikki’s uptown Charlotte bridal portraits
What can I say about Nikki? Well for one thing, my first impression was WAY off!!! She was so very organized in our consultation, there were no questions left unasked and no issues that she didn’t cover thoroughly! In her notes, she had columns where she lined up all the photographers she had interviewed. She wrote my answers down in a neat little column next to 5 others. So my first impression was….RUN KATE RUN! If she is OCD like Chad- this is not going to be fun!!! LOL!!
I was a little skeered when she contacted me to let me know she wanted me to photograph her wedding. I really didn’t know what to expect. Turns out….she and Brian are one of the most amazingly cool, hip, fun couples I have ever worked with! Their wedding on Saturday was over-the-top! There were a lot of surprises at the reception, including a cake-cutting like I have never seen before! I will share pictures on the blog as soon as I get them processed.
In the meantime, here are a few of the pulchritudinous (stunning, beautiful, amazing) Nikki:

She has the most amazing blue eyes!

Angela
Angela’s bridal session didn’t quite go as planned! As we were heading to our second location, my car started making an odd thumping noise. I pulled into an abandoned lot to find that my rear tire was flat. We were about an hour from my house and only halfway through the photo shoot. I had visions of changing the tire alone after dark. I had not changed a tire in at least 10 years. I doubted that I would even be able to loosen the lug nuts! Angela’s mom called her dad to see if he could change the tire while we finished her bridal session. I was so relieved that he agreed to meet us! It was so thoughtful of Angela’s family to take care of my flat tire. I’m so fortunate to meet so many wonderful people through my job. =) Here are a few faves from Angela’s session:

Chelsea’s bridal at Duke Mansion
My mom and I worked together for the first time in years when we photographed Chelsea’s bridal session over the summer. To say that Chelsea was very patient would be an understatement! I usually spend under 2 hours on bridals, but my mom can go on shooting for hours! I left at the 2 hour point, but mom kept working until after dark. Chelsea had hundreds of amazing images! A few favorites from her session:

Anna in Charleston
Anna and Jett had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on Lake Tillery a couple of weeks ago. Here are a few of my favorites from her bridal session in Charleston. I’ll be posting wedding images soon.

Leslie at Rocky River Vineyard
Many of my brides want their look to be a surprise on the wedding day but it is so hard to keep bridal portraits to myself for a month or longer! If I can get away with it, I add a few to my Facebook account before the wedding. =) Leslie tied the knot at Rocky River Vineyard last weekend. I love the colors she chose for her bouquet and shoes! The purple really popped against the scenery. A few favorites from her bridal:
