My mom and I worked together for the first time in years when we photographed Chelsea’s bridal session over the summer. To say that Chelsea was very patient would be an understatement! I usually spend under 2 hours on bridals, but my mom can go on shooting for hours! I left at the 2 hour point, but mom kept working until after dark. Chelsea had hundreds of amazing images! A few favorites from her session:

Anna and Jett had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on Lake Tillery a couple of weeks ago. Here are a few of my favorites from her bridal session in Charleston. I’ll be posting wedding images soon.

Many of my brides want their look to be a surprise on the wedding day but it is so hard to keep bridal portraits to myself for a month or longer! If I can get away with it, I add a few to my Facebook account before the wedding. =) Leslie tied the knot at Rocky River Vineyard last weekend. I love the colors she chose for her bouquet and shoes! The purple really popped against the scenery. A few favorites from her bridal:

It was so HOT last week when we scheduled Amanda’s bridal portraits at DSBG. She and Chris are getting married there in late July. Until then, I’ll have to keep her bridal portraits under wraps. This was the only picture I could crop that wouldn’t give away too much! She has some big plans for her shoes and crinoline…I have a feeling she is going to start a new trend in Charlotte! Stay tuned!

I had sooo much fun with Dana and her mom during this session…her mom’s enthusiasm is contagious! I remember the first time I met them. As they were viewing the albums at the studio, she paused and exclaimed, “This isn’t photography - this is art!”
I chuckled and silently wished that more people valued photography. I couldn’t wipe the grin off of my face as we ran all over the place during this session. It was nice to have the weather cooperate for once! I love the way Dana’s hair turned out. She went to my salon - the stylists there are fabulous! A few favorites:

We had to reschedule Magan’s bridal session due to rain. The second date we chose turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day…. until we started her session! It started pouring about 5 minutes after we got started. We hung out at my house for a little while to see if it would pass over, but when that didn’t happen we headed to the studio. I’m glad the rain forced us to shoot in the studio because we got some great shots! I absolutely ADORE her red shoes. I’m often asked how I end up photographing the most beautiful and stylish brides in the Carolinas! What can I say? My brides have amazing taste! ;)

We captured the MOST amazing pictures of Carlyn during her bridal session! She was such a trooper- she stepped in an ant hill and had a close encounter with a snake during our session, but it was definitely worth it! Thanks to Shirley for helping out during the session. I loved her idea of adding the chandelier to a few! Here are a few favorites:

We photographed Lauren’s session at Childress Vineyards in Lexington. After we finished there, we headed to her parent’s house. A neighbor’s dogs were going CRAZY during the shoot, but since they were fenced in we didn’t pay them much attention. Before we knew it, the biggest bulldog I’ve ever seen climbed over the fence and started growling at us! I froze while Lauren’s aunt reached out to the dog. It snapped at her hand like it was going to bite her. I just kept thinking of what might happen to Lauren’s dress if the dog approached her. Lauren’s mom and aunt led the dog away from us and that pretty much wrapped up our shoot!

We photographed Kristen’s bridal session at Lake Norman. I live in Birkdale Village so it was nice to work right around the corner from my house for once! Thanks to Elena and Mike for opening their beautiful home to us for the shoot. There were so many stunning areas; we took pictures until the sun went down! Perry loves golf so we had to include his golf clubs for a few.
